What began as AKKI Photography grew into THE BIG DAY by chai in 2022. Since then, we’ve captured over 100 weddings, always focusing on one thing: making sure couples enjoy their big day while we quietly work our magic behind the scenes.
My amazing team! Vamsi, my friend since school, makes sure everything runs smoothly with clients, while Krishna, my college senior, handles pretty much everything else with a smile. Together, they help keep our ship sailing, and our team of 15 talented folks ensures that each wedding is captured beautifully.

We never schedule more than one wedding on the same day and rarely on the same weekend. We want to make sure that we perform at the highest level and be super focused for the task at hand. Your wedding film is as important to us… as it is to you.
We use professional grade SONY Alpha 7 IV cameras, which record in 4K at 120 FPS, which gives us the added benefit of being able to shoot with a shallow depth of field, thus enabling us to record more intimate shots. We also use professional grade audio equipment both wireless and portable recorders
We wanted pricing to be comfortable for our couples, so we created software with transparent pricing to give them the convenience of making their own quotation for their big day.
After building your wedding quotation using the BYQ software on our website, you will need to pay 10% of the total amount to book your date with us. Then, 40% of the total amount is due 30 days before your wedding day, with the remaining 50% to be paid on your big day.
Yes, for events outside Hyderabad and other remote locations, Clients have to bear the team’s travel expenses.
Yes, we shoot both the bride and the groom at the same time.
In candid photography, the subject is unaware of the camera and does not pose. This is in contrast to traditional photography, where people pose and smile for the camera. Once the picture is taken, they return to their natural state.

A cinematic wedding video is a story told through a mix of speeches, images, and music. It is shot differently than traditional wedding videography, as the best cinematographers in India shoot in high-quality short clips. This is because they are shooting to tell a story, not just document every single minute of the day.
The documentary style of wedding films is longer than other “typical” styles. This is because weaving important parts of your day and editing them in a chronological manner can lengthen your wedding film duration. Most couples will add these “longer-form” videos to their film collection as it’s a great opportunity to see more of your lovely conversations, speeches, and other important parts of your day. The Documentary edit may vary between 15-30 minutes in duration and allows you to watch your wedding footage in an entertaining format.
Associating physical sensations with memories can make them stronger. It is highly unlikely that you will forget your wedding day, but memories can fade over the years, especially if it was a long marriage. Wedding albums allow you to record your memories whenever you want – whether it’s your anniversary, when some guests arrive or just because you feel like it. Removing an album from the shelves is much easier than searching for digital files, and you don’t have to worry about them getting lost.
When all events are completed, we copy all the raw data to hard drive (customer must provide hard drive) and all the final edited outputs are shared via Google Drive.
